July Favorites || July 2019
I'm usually someone who can save their money pretty darn well, but recently I've been spending it on senseless clothing items all the time. The only good benefit from my loss of hard-earned cash is this blog post. So without further ado, these are my favorites for July!
one: cropped sweatshirts
I feel incredibly "basic" putting this one on the list but it's so true. This month I've really found my home in athletic shorts and a cropped sweatshirt, usually one of these two. The teal one is from Target and can be found here and the second one is off of Depop, originally from Brandy Melville. They're so easy to have on and work in but still allow coolness to circulate if that makes any sense. Where I live it's extremely humid in the summer so usually these types of things have been a giant no go for me, but I've now found my wave with them and I'm not even mad.
two: white chunky sneakers (FILA's)
I just recently purchased a pair of FILA's at the end of July (because, as I'm posting this, it's August haha) and I love them! They literally go with everything and are so comfy to just throw on whenever I need to go out somewhere. I had bought some knockoffs from Wal-Mart, but I decided to go all-in because I loved them so much (I'll be doing another post later about the Wal-Mart ones, don't worry :))
three: pink strapless bikini
This has been my go-to bathing suit this season! Sadly, I can't find it online but I'm almost positive I bought it from Aerie at the beginning of May in case anyone wanted to know! This swimsuit is so comfy and flattering and I love the buttons on the front. It also keeps me from getting weird strap tans before band haha!
four: i'll be gone in the dark by michelle mcnamara
If you follow me on Instagram, you've definitely already seen this, but WOW! Recently, I've been trying to get more into audiobooks because my local library has an app where you can rent audiobooks and ebooks from them which I find so amazing. I heard a lot about this book from multiple booktube channels online, so I thought I'd check it out for myself. The audiobook itself reminds me a lot of the podcast Serial in case you've ever listened to that (which, if you haven't, I highly HIGHLY recommend!). I'll Be Gone In The Dark is a true crime novel, which is pretty hit or miss with me, and I'm so glad that I've been enjoying this one as much as I have been for this past time that I've had it rented. Definitely worth the read (or listen)!
five: what a time (feat. niall horan) by julia micheals
Picking my favorite song for the month was SO HARD! I love music and I listen to music so much that it's hard for me to narrow it down to one song, but this song has been definitely played the most in my car over the past couple of weeks. Niall Horan and Julia Micheals' voices mesh so well together that I find the song so well done!
I hope you guys also enjoyed the edits I made as apart of this post too! I thought they really tied everything together. I've always been into editing with photos even before it became a popular thing to do, so I've been experimenting here and there on my Instagram and this blog!
What are some of your favorites from this month? I'd love to know! DM me on Instagram or leave a comment below :)
